Exciting opportunity to work with high-precision, close tolerance injection molding machines and use technical expertise to provide excellence in performance. Work with unique equipment and enjoy a state of the art work facility with the best new machinery.
- Manufacture and assemble high precision injection mold tools. This includes analyzing specifications, setting up and operating machine tools, fitting and assembling parts and making cutting tools, jigs, fixtures and hand tools.
- Verify dimensions, alignments, smoothness and clearances of finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, indicators and microscopes
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, vertical mills, EDMs, surface grinders to make component parts or complete tools and molds.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and 5
years machinist experience and a basic knowledge of mold building processes.
- Ability to work within close tolerances, experience designing molds for products such as bushings, ferrules or wiring grommets is helpful.
- Knowledge of tool making techniques and methods.
- Previous use of CAD or CAM software, understanding of computer numerical controlled machine tools and electrical discharge machine tools.
- A love of machinery and plastic formation and molding.
