Patient Financial Services Rep/Patient Relations-Full Time

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent required Experience: Other Requirements: Accurate typing rate of 40 wpm required Has excellent communication skills, oral and written Able to sit for long periods of time, restricted to telephone activities Must be able to operate the following equipment: copier, fax machine, computer, and 10-key calculator Professional appearance and manner required Responsibilities: Answers all telephone calls directed to PFS concerning patient accounts Stays within Department standard Accesses and updates information through the use of the billing system and interprets information to answer patient inquiry Answers patient correspondence, either by written or verbal response within Department standards

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
