Maintenance Technician

Lakeland, FL Lakeland, FL Full-time Full-time $25 an hour $25 an hour Maintenance Technician FULL-TIME $25/hr Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas.
Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per quality standards and/or Safe Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment, will provide measurable improvements and enhancements systems.
Plans and performs complex corrective and preventative maintenance requiring a thorough knowledge of mechanical theories and principles.
Will be required to understand and baseline the current state in terms of the effectiveness of work order planning and scheduling and cost (materials, resources, time) implications.
Master the basics of the CMMS system utilized at the plant (i.
e.
SAP-PM) and become knowledgeable with system reporting and work order systems and methods - gaps will be identified and a formal improvement plan developed and put into place.
Improve communications between and show an improvement in the effectiveness of work order effectiveness and work order completion rate, reduction in back log, and a set of prioritized work orders with (improved) methods and procedures in place.
Optimize and effectively accomplish all work and work orders (from break down to condition based) and lead in the development of rules and controls over the planning and scheduling efforts.
Contributes to measurable improvements in scheduled, unscheduled and break down maintenance related down time and the costs associated with these events to contribute to CPC (cost per case) goals for each plant and shares best practices across and within the enterprise.
Daily completion of all documentation including but not limited to; daily log, downtime detail report, completed work orders, completed PMs, inventory issue slips, material requisitions and Maintenance Work Requests (MWRs) TPA-04 WS-04 WS-TC Schedule Shift start:

years old Interprovincial Journeyman License (Canada) Electrician or Millwright (Dual Ticket - Electrician/Millwright an asset) 5 years production/line machine maintenance experience Line maintenance within a food and beverage production environment preferred Thorough technical knowledge in the field of industrial maintenance, including relevant regulations, standards and codes.
Ability to read and understand complex diagrams.
Capable of MOS leadership skills combined with team player attitude.
Thorough understanding of engineering principles and maintenance practices.
Ability to read and understand complex piping diagrams and mechanical drawings.
Objective judgment and fact based decision making approach.
Strong multi-tasking competency.
