Purpose of this position:
Perform LIFE SAFETY inspections.
Comply with all regular safety rules and regulations and also wear safety equipment.
Assist with other maintenance functions when required.
Position Requirements:
Educational:
High school diploma or G.
E.
D.
Licensure:
Prefer valid Florida driver's license
Experience:
Prefer 1-year of general property maintenance experience.
Knowledge of basic trouble shooting on electric, plumbing and preventative maintenance.
Must be mentally and physically able to work safe, climb ladders, lift loads of 50 pounds, work on hands and knees, clean and maintain equipment and tools.
Performance Standards:
Technical Functions:
Is knowledgeable of maintenance systems, is aware its performance, completes tests, maintains records and makes needed repairs.
Completes work orders on time and correctly, minimizing call-backs.
Properly troubleshoots and diagnoses system problems before calling a contractor.
Helps lower contractor costs.
Trains and orients new employees on life safety, and property.
Assists with supervision as requested.
Demonstrates proper use of hand and power tools.
Keeps work areas clean.
Cleans, maintains, and properly uses golf cart and company vehicles.
Conducts monthly fire drills.
Keeps all life safety records current.
Adheres to lock out/tag out procedures according to OSHA standards.

Promote the Homes' mission and vision.

Takes appropriate precautions and uses safety equipment, when performing tasks requiring such.

Continuing Education:

Promptly attends and participates in annual training, mandatory meetings, hazardous communication, universal precaution and hurricane preparedness and other required training programs.
Evaluates performance against expectations and adjusts for improvements.
Attend and maintain current CPR/First Aid and Security certifications.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
