Summary:
Talbot House Ministries was established to be a place of hope for people who had lost hope:
the hungry, the homeless and the poor.
Planting the seeds of hope is something we do with everyone who comes through our doors.
The groundskeeper position is responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment in all our buildings and grounds by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities Core Responsibilities/
Essential Functions:
Removing debris, maintaining common space areas, restocking bathrooms, and responding to all cleaning emergencies.
Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures Cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash, windows cleaning and moving furniture, pressure washing, blowing off sidewalks, etc.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
Use proper PPE where required Clean all common space areas including kitchen, dining room, lobby, and offices if needed Place safety hazard signs in the building including wet floor signs as necessary Monitor, clean, service and restock bathrooms Respond immediately to any major spills or other cleaning crisis Knowledgeable of basic maintenance Remove litter and debris from common space areas 1-2 years experience as a custodian, janitor.
Will provide on-the-job training to those with strong work ethics and willingness to learn.
The ability to be flexible, and work at a fast-paced and multi-tasked job is necessary.
Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort including being uniform, dependable, and on time Has respect and understanding for co-workers, guests, and residents.
