As a Business Consultant with our Business Analysis & Reporting (BAR) department, you will serve as a financial point of contact for the assigned Corporate Purchasing Retail Business Unit (RBU). Additionally, you will manage and ensure consistent support in both strategic and recurring decision-making processes. The Business Consultant provides comprehensive financial and analytical consulting to support an assigned business function, in addition to providing financial-based recommendations to support strategic decision needs for the RBU and across the enterprise that require financial input. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:
acting as a liaison between the BAR leadership team and the assigned RBU to ensure the financial impacts of future operational changes are reflected in the business plan consulting and providing financial-based analyses to support tactical and RBU project needs for the assigned RBU managing analysis & reporting and ad-hoc requests to ensure assigned RBU is properly informed on decisions developing and supporting corporate financial and strategic planning, forecasting, and operating budgets preparing financial summaries used to support investment decisions using NPV, IRR, payback period and breakeven support the monthly accounting close process (as assigned), to include JEs, recons and associated schedules preparing structured financial models to support recurring reporting and analysis, to include advanced Excel formulas and macros, Access, and Alteryx with data residing across multiple data servers participate on cross-functional project teams, proactively advocating for viewpoints of the BAR/Finance department on behalf of the project sponsor serving as an organizational thought leader while also supporting and reinforcing recommendations and standards established by BAR/Finance department mentoring/training Sr. Business Analysts, Business Analysts, and other associates as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or another analytical discipline with at least 4 years relevant analytical business experience or equivalent Knowledge of Accounting and/or Finance principles, general business practices and financial statements Knowledge of analytical techniques, including how to quickly identify and correct logical flaws and/or shortcomings, as well as improve the overall accuracy of the analysis Ability to prepare and summarize fact-based information to share with various levels of the organization Ability to analyze financial statements, understand the relationships between them and identify and explain the key drivers Good interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills Ability to communicate and listen effectively with various levels of Publix associates Ability to quickly develop an understanding of new information, processes, and technologies Ability to take responsibility for learning new skills and processes Ability to check own and peer work for data analysis and identify errors and provide feedback Proven strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects, including organizational skills, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines while ensuring accuracy Demonstrated use of good analytical skills and problem-solving skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Must be self-motivated, requiring little direction in day-to-day activities A willingness to be flexible and adapt quickly and efficiently to change Enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work Commitment to Publix and our mission Preferred Qualifications MBA with concentration in Accounting or Finance or a Master's degree in a relevant business field with at least 5 years relevant analytical business experience or equivalent Knowledge of corporate organizational structures, including the basic roles and responsibilities of each department in the organization Knowledge of the retail store environment and operations Knowledge of Activity Based Costing and inventory management related to shrink. Ability to train peers and new associates Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Experience using software such as SAP, BPC, ESM, SharePoint, Host, PIMs, Marwood, Microstrategy, Nielsen, etc. and the interrelationships of those systems Advanced knowledge of Alteryx or similar data visualization tool such as Tableau Advanced knowledge of MicroStrategy Developer or similar data visualization tool Knowledge of Applied Predictive Analytics (APT) modules such as Test & Learn Market Basket Analyzer, and Benchmarker.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
