The Network Engineering Data Center Services team is responsible for the configuration, support, and management of Routing/Switching, Load Balancing, and DDI (DNS/DHCP/IPAM) technologies. Principal Engineers provide direction on the effective use of the Publix information technology architecture for service and project delivery. Additional responsibilities within this role include:
Management and configuration of Cisco Nexus and Catalyst data center infrastructure Support and administration of Software Defined Networking (SDN) elements, including VXLAN, VMware NSX-T, and VMware Advanced Load Balancers (formerly AVI) Design and installation of Infoblox DNS/DHCP appliances and F5 Load Balancers Provide operational support to include problem-determination, resolution, root cause analysis, and future mitigation Perform analysis of network security needs and contribute to design, integration, and configuration of networking hardware and software Coordination and implementation of software upgrades and hotfix installations to support business requirements Deploy High Availability applications utilizing global load balancing with F5 GTM and NSX ALB GSLB Maintenance and upgrade of Infoblox data center appliances and remote site devices utilizing Grid technology Tier-3 support escalation and on-call rotation Cross functional participation with other Engineering teams and collaboration with Application owners Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or other analytical disciplines, or equivalent experience 6
years of experience managing Cisco networks in an enterprise data center environment including Nexus, Catalyst 4
years of experience with ADC Load Balancer technologies, including F5 LTM/GTM or VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (formerly AVI) 2
years of experience with Data Center Design including VXLAN and Software Defined Networking (SDN) 2
years of experience managing a Spine/Leaf network fabric using Cisco DCNM (Data Center Network Manager) Deep understanding of datacenter networking support and troubleshooting spine/leaf, DCNM, NSX-T, and VMware Knowledge of a wide variety of networking components including Cisco Routers, Switches, MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF and RIPv2 Successful and proven track record of leading large-scale projects Extensive background in the design, planning, and implementation of complex networks, and the ability to quickly understand the enterprise network at Publix Knowledge of network security standards, system hardening best practices, and vulnerability remediation Experience with network management platforms and products, preferably Infoblox NetMRI and Splunk Tier-3 support escalation and on-call rotation Cross functional participation with other Engineering teams and collaboration with Application owners Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High degree of self-motivation, initiative, commitment, integrity, and pride in work A commitment to Publix and our Mission Additional Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Experience with enterprise DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management; Infoblox experience a plus Knowledge of Automation tools and scripting languages (Ansible, Python, etc.) Utilizing VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (formerly AVI) for application deployment and support Experience with the migration of applications from legacy ADC platform to software-defined infrastructure Familiarity with VMware VCF and NSX-T integration with NSX ALB Knowledge of DNS best practices to include securing of enterprise services Experience with Infoblox Grid technology and upgrade process Experience with upgrading and maintenance of F5 VIPRION and vCMP Guests Networking tools including Splunk, Wireshark, NetMRI, CA Spectrum, support and ticketing systems Understanding of networking security and firewall policy Solid understanding and working knowledge of Application Delivery Networks and optimization Support experience with cloud-based applications Certifications related to core technologies Additional Preferred Qualifications Hours of Work Minimum 45 hours per week. Frequency of Pay Monthly Minimum Base Pay 8,730 Maximum Base Pay 13,070 Potential Annual Pay with Bonus 113,490 - 169,910 Year End Bonus As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
