Unmanned Aircraft Systems Specialist/Flight Instructor, GS-2101-12 (MAP)

As an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Specialist/Flight Instructor, you will perform the following duties:
Manage Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) training activities including instruction, standardization and compliance with Federal UAS regulations and NOAA policies. Monitor employment of UAS systems in the field; research, evaluate and validate UAS equipment requirements; and assist in updating UAS operational handbooks and procedures, and flight log books. Coordinate evaluation and development of recommendations on UAS for NOAA use, assist in performing operational risk management assessments, ensure UAS operations are in compliance with NOAA and FAA requirements, and provide expertise to UAS accident investigations. Support committees in Unmanned Working Groups to facilitate operational development of unmanned systems, facilitate with field to determine aircraft and payload development and modification, and identify technological challenges and provide recommended courses of action. Experience:
Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify at the GS-12 level:

Experience:
Applicants must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience MUST include all of the following:
Evaluating and validating Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) equipment requirements to support operational and compliance requirements; Ensuring standardization of UAS program operations and procedures, and developing operational procedures and guides; and Carrying out operational risk management assessments.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
