Complete Description Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience in multi:
platform IS environment.
Experience:

A minimum of five years experience (at least three years in health care preferred) with IBM mainframe, Novell/NT, Citrix/Terminal Services, database environments and Microsoft networking environment, SAN / LAN environment, including programming and customer support responsibilities :
Experienced in the management of both physical and logical information security including HIPAA and HITECH standards and methods.

Must possess outstanding interpersonal and exceptional communication skills to include contract and vendor negotiation.

Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity with the ability to work independently.

Must have at least three years experience in supervising an IT staff with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and responsibilities.

Must have at least three years experience in managing a full project life cycle.

Must be able to define and execute a full project timeline including requirements, specifications, installation, testing both pre and post go:
live as well as roll back strategies.

Responsibilities:

Supports the Director to strategically plan, coordinate, direct, and supervise the daily operations of the IT Department.

Coordinate, supervise and schedule the installation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure.

Will assist the Director in the development and implementation of short:
and long:
term cohesive information technology strategies.
:
Assists in project management, systems analysis and design, documentation and implementation of computer hardware.
:
Direct daily operations of department, analyze workflow, establish priorities, develop standards and set deadlines in consultation with the Director.
Will monitor network performance and ensure it is stable and functioning.

Assists in the development, recommendation, and administration of the department budget to ensure are delivered in conformance with MIS objectives and within budget parameters.
:
Make suggestions and recommendations to the Director, as appropriate, regarding systems, security, performance and current and future needs.
:
Takes all direction from the Director as to the planning or implementation of all new technologies and all staff related items.
:
Assists in the performance of ongoing information risk assessments and audits to ensure information technologies are adequately protected and meet HIPAA and other healthcare regulatory body requirements.
