Summary:
The Part Time Temporary Human Resource Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of all day-to-day human resource operations as assigned with emphasis administration and employee support.

Answers phones for the HR department.
Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
Assists with new-employee orientations.
Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
Assists the department with HR projects.
Assists with benefits administration through interfacing with employees, outside vendors and contractors.
Support coordination of employee recognition activities, holiday party, service awards, luncheons, etc.
Assist with department initiatives such as Wellness Initiatives.
Full cycle administration and internal employee communication.
Maintains and distributes list of new and cancelled employees under each benefit plan.
Verifies benefit billing accuracy and processes for payment.
Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9 and processes E-Verify.
Ensures all government forms are current and complete.
Assists with recruitment tasks as needed (verifications of employment, background checks, reviews applications, interviews, etc.
) or assigned.
Supports internal communications through all mediums.
Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner.
Assist in performing full cycle benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, invoices for payment, auditing and communicating benefits information to employees.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
Participates in special projects as assigned.
Strict adherence to Federal & State employment laws.
Follows Citrus Connection policy including department operating procedures, practices, and rules of the road.
Reports to work location on time and as scheduled.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
