As the Benefits Design Specialist, you will support the Benefits Design team with innovation and development efforts related to Publix's benefits, wellness plans and programs, strategic projects, and benefits-critical initiatives.
This support includes researching new or enhanced plans and programs and utilizing resources to keep apprised of new and emerging topics and programs.
In addition, you will assist with vendor procurement processes such as Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP).
You will develop comprehensive implementation and operational procedures and documents to successfully transition new benefits plans, programs and/or vendors to the Benefits Delivery team for ongoing management.

Job Description:
Your role will include the following, but not limited to:
Assisting the Manager of Benefits Design with research and development of strategic and benefits-critical initiatives Assisting in tasks related to implementing new benefits plans and programs.
Assisting in performing tasks to administer current health and well-being initiatives.
Maintaining vendor relationships including agendas and minutes Collecting data from multiple sources, to create ad hoc reporting used for insurance related research.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Health Care Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience Three (3) years of progressive responsibility in the benefits field Intermediate Microsoft Word skills Basic Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Knowledge of:
Employee benefits plans, programs and strategies, and the general status of the employee benefits field Laws and regulations that may affect the administration of benefits plans Administration of vendor procurement principles, including but not limited to RFI's (request for information) and RFP's (request for proposal) Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, or Health Care Administration Five (5) years of progressive responsibility in the benefits field Knowledge of:

In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week's pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.
