We seek to expand access to our programs throughout Polk County and support the full spectrum of our community.
The Development and Marketing Manager will work closely with the leadership and program team to uphold the organization's mission and vision and achieve its marketing and development goals.
Overseeing fund development initiatives includes but not limited to developing a corporate sponsorship program, building individual donor relations, and assisting Board of Directors with fundraising events.
These responsibilities involve a significant amount of strategic thinking, collaborative teamwork, computer-based work, and building and maintaining community relationships.
This position will receive support from Camp Fire's National Marketing and Development Teams in the form of training, marketing content and other tools and resources.
This position offers a flexible work schedule.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Strategy Work with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and leadership team to develop annual marketing and development plans including campaigns, marketing calendar, and budget for marketing and development expenses and revenue goals.
Actively participate in Camp Fire National Monthly Marketing Team and Development Team Meetings and implement best practices and relevant strategy in our local efforts.
Assist with organizational strategic planning and development including an intentional growth plan for the next 1-3 years/3-5 years.
Development Work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop and oversee annual strategic development plans with financial goals that include revenue from individual donors, corporate sponsors, fundraising events, and grants.
Develop corporate sponsor relationships including sponsorship levels and marketing materials.
Develop individual donor communication campaigns.
Communications and Public Relations Maintain and increase our online presence including, but not limited to, our website, blog, and social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, and other strategically relevant online marketing channels.
) Develop and share key stories and support materials to present Camp Fire Sunshine to community organizations and potential donors.
Create and or oversee all marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, posters, invitations, and sponsorship packets.
Uphold mission and maintain brand consistency in all communications.
Advertising Expand established relationships and collaborative arrangements with media groups and individuals.
Build relationships with online influencers/groups for marketing opportunities.
Create or oversee the creation of advertising materials, print and radio ads, advertorials, and press releases for all programs, staff and volunteer recruitment activities, and fundraising events.
Community Relations and Outreach Build relationships and solicit input and feedback from the community to ensure that underserved or historically excluded communities are not only aware of what we do, but also feel welcome and included in our efforts.
Camp Fire Event Planning - work with the leadership team to coordinate logistics for Camp Fire-hosted community and fundraising events in conjunction with program staff and Board of Directors.
