Manage the Field Support Services which includes managing Industrial Field Engineers, Field Engineers, Field Service Supervisors, and associated Field Technicians.
Partner closely with internal lines of business to exceed the customer's needs.
Essential Functions:
Prepare and supervise quotations and work scopes for field projects and jobs.
Manage, schedule, and prioritize work to be performed by Field Support team.
Ensure efficient and effective workflow of Field Support team in order to meet or exceed customers' expectations.
Partner closely with the Technical Sales Representative and the Sales Department to exceed customers' expectations.
Work with other Field Support Mangers as needed to ensure efficient and effective workflow of field support in order to meet or exceed customers' expectations.
Work closely and cooperatively with Director, other Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to achieve established goals and promote a team driven environment.
Complete and deliver employee performance reviews for department personnel.
Conduct performance corrective counseling in consultation with the Director and/or Human Resources as needed.
Actively participate in the recruitment and hiring of employees.
Communicate clearly, concisely, and with accuracy to employees, customers, and vendors.
Provide monthly transaction reporting (Closed jobs, New jobs, WIP) to the Director.
Provide monthly unified transaction reporting (Productivity Data) to the Director.
Maintain Services financial data (Revenue / Expense /Margin - SRO level) for weekly reporting to the Director.
Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
Experience:
Seven years of field mechanical and/or engineering or similar industrial engineering experience.
Five years of industrial field service or mining experience preferred.
Five years in a leadership/management position preferred.
Other:
PLC, motor drive and medium voltage experience preferred.
Turbine and mechanical pump experience preferred.
Ability to manage and motivate team members located at various locations.
Experience managing individuals and/or a team to achieve defined goals.
Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong problem solving skills.
Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask while coordinating multiple high level priorities.
Possess a high level of attention to detail/accuracy.
Strong knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office software.
Ability to foster good employee/management relations and build a strong team effort to fulfill customers' expectations.
Ability to train and mentor employees.
Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision making related to non-routine duties.
Overnight travel including extended stays required.
