Field Service Technician I

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
This position provides responsive, customer service driven electrical and automation support to customers, which includes troubleshooting, remediation, implementation, commissioning, and testing of electrical and automation components and systems.
As the Field Service Technician I, you will provide maintenance and commissioning services including calibrations, I/O checkout, functional testing, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
oUnderstand field instrumentation for troubleshooting, loop checkout, calibration and support the functional checkout of a control system.
oUnderstand and work with simple field metering devices and calibration equipment.
oUnderstand and troubleshoot instrumentation and the control portion of P&ID drawings for control systems.
oUnderstand and troubleshoot PLC-based electrical control systems including input/output signals.
oUnderstand and redline control panel drawings and P&ID drawings.
oUnderstand the dangers and safely perform service work in electrical areas which may have voltage sources including but not limited to 24 VDC, 120 VAC, 208 VAC, 240 VAC, 480 VAC, 600 VAC, 4160 VAC.
oTest, calibrate and configure electrical control equipment, instrumentation, components, and systems.
oReview applications of controls, instrumentation, and systems for proper operation and intended purpose.
oReview electrical connections within control panels, instrumentation, and motor control centers to ensure proper application of each component.
oCommission new or perform after-startup service for former/current customers who call Revere for help on existing or potential problems.
oInstall replacement equipment for customers who are upgrading or replacing defective units.
oInstallation of electrical infrastructure materials including conduit, wire, and instrument support stands.
oInstallation of control panels and instrumentation devices.
oUnderstand the related plant process and associated control system components and requirements.
oPerform other job-related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
oEntry level or one (1) to two (2) years of related work experience in field service.
oBasic computer software skills using Microsoft Office Suite, E-Mail, Internet.
oCompletion of OSHA safety training/certification.
oBasic math and computer skills.
oSelf-motivated and a proven ability to take charge of a task and complete it with minimal supervision.
oKnowledge and experience with specialized tools, test, and calibration equipment.
oAssociate degree in Applied Science with a major in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent preferred.
oExcellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact with customers, vendors, company employees and subcontractors.
oHave and maintain a valid driver's license and ability to qualify for company insurance coverage.

This is a full-time position with general business hours on Monday through Friday, 8:

However, longer hours, evenings and weekend work may be required.
Work hours must be flexible due to jobsite requirements and customer support needs.
