Animal Care/Boarding Kennel Assistant Manager
Lakeland, FL Lakeland, FL Full-time Full-time $12 - $14 an hour $12 - $14 an hour 6 days ago 6 days ago 6 days ago All Creatures Animal Clinic is looking to add an energetic, self motivated, hard working animal lover to our Animal Care Kennel team.
This position requires a person that has the willingness to learn and the desire to provide gentle, compassionate care for our boarding and hospitalized pets.
This position includes, but is not limited to, the daily care of our multiple boarding dogs and cats at the clinic.
The daily routine includes outdoor walks multiple times per day (in all types of Florida weather- rain or shine), cleaning/disinfecting cages daily, feeding pets according to each owners directions and medicating pets as needed.
Our team also provides baths for boarding pets and for clients pets during the week- this includes toe nail trims, ear cleaning and anal gland expression.
Senior position assists the technicians in the hospital with the daily care of our hospitalized patients- including feeding according to veterinarians direct instructions, communication with techs, assistance with radiographs, post-op recovery, and client communication as recovery nurse.
Experience working in a kennel is required and we are looking for a candidate with basic management experience.
Experience working in a veterinary clinic/hospital setting is preferred.
Must be willing to learn our techniques and routines of care.
Applicant must have availability for flexible full time scheduling.
Must have reliable transportation and be available to work a varied schedule including a weekend rotation and holidays.
Must be able to work in typical Florida weather.
Must be able to lift 40lbs.
