As our RN Unit Manager, you will assist the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing to ensure a high level of patient care for our residents.
As an RN Unit Manager, your duties are as follows:
Assist the DON and ADON to evaluate, and direct day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the Facility Ensure that all nursing services personnel are following their respective job descriptions Review complaints and grievances made or filed by department personnel and ensure appropriate reports are made and sent directly to the Director of Nursing Services Utilize expertise in the leadership role as a manager of an assigned unit Collaborate with the Director of Nursing in maintaining adequate nursing coverage to provide safe nursing care for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; effectively utilizes existing manpower limiting use of overtime and agency personnel Implement the process of progressive counseling and when necessary, recommends or initiates disciplinary action based on facility's and or nursing policies and procedures Provides professional guidance and supervision to both professional and nonprofessional unit staff Attend committee meetings as requested Assumes nursing responsibilities of facility for weekend and holiday coverage as requested Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality assurance activities for the facility and/or unit as requested Demonstrates, teaches, and evaluates nursing skills utilized in direct resident care of the unit's specific resident population Assumes responsibility for the MDS's completion on the unit Provides consultation in developing and implementing discharge plans in collaboration with the resident, family, and interdisciplinary team Prepares written reports, reviews records, and participates in needed date collection as indicated Submits requests for the budget Participates in staff recruitment ( assists in the interviewing and selection of nursing personnel Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.
Requirements COVID-19 vaccination is required Valid RN license in the state of Florida Previous experience working in long-term care

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
