Summary:
To ensure an accurate and efficient patient registration process Duties and
Responsibilities:
Greets patient upon arrival and verifies appointment date and time.
Verifies patients eligibility prior to following days appointments.
Secures patients signature on all forms required.
Collects co-payments as applicable.
Submits to Member Maintenance Department any changes to patients demographics.
Notifies medical assistants of patient arrival.
Maintains patients informed of progress or delays in physicians schedules.
Schedules follow-up appointments with primary care physicians and in-house specialists.
Schedules transportation services as required.
Responds to incoming telephone call in a courteous and professional manner.
Transfers calls to the appropriate extensions as necessary.
Takes messages and distributes them appropriately.
Logs all in-coming faxes Confirms patients following day appointments.
Re-schedules no-show patients.
Addresses patients problems/ concerns as may arise Attends departmental meetings as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
