Description:
The ASP.net Developer position will have a wide range of responsibilities including development of new applications, break/fixes on existing applications, public websites, applications supporting our primary business systems, and working with CMS systems. Some SQL knowledge is required to tie into our business systems to support our employees and customers.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
1. Strong knowledge of C#
2. Proficient in HTML and XML
3. Proficient in JavaScript and JavaScript libraries such as jQuery
4. Proficient in other client side technologies such as AJAX
5. Ability to write functional and design specs for applications
6. Ability to design user friendly customer experiences
7. Photoshop is a plus but not required.
8. Understand mobile device targeting (adaptive versus fluid layouts, experience with Twitter bootstrap a plus).
9. Understand object-oriented programming
10. Understand web configurations in IIS
11. Proficient in the latest versions of the .NET framework
12. Understand web application security principles
13. Understand general database design using MSSQL
14. Understand LINQ to SQL and LINQ to other appropriate data sources
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1. Work with lead programmer and vendors/contractors in coding our main travel portal application using C#, ASP.NET,
2. Provide assistance in implementing new templates, user interfaces, and creating mobile-friendly front ends for our travel portal
3. Other related duties and projects as assigned
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
1. Either Bachelor's degress in computer science or similar field OR at least 2 years professional working experience with ASP.net in C# or VB and MSSQL.
3. Excellent communication skillsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
